Toronto (Founded 1793)

Toronto (once called York) is located on the northern shore of Lake Ontario about 45 Minutes from out Aurora shop and is home to almost 3 million people. It is the most populous city in Canada and the largest urban and metro area. Many of our designers and clients live and work in in Metropolitan Toronto.

The neighbourhoods within Toronto’s boundaries are far to vast to list, however some communities where Millenium Shutters has done numerous projects are The Annex, Distillery District, Yorkville, Grange Park, Harbourfront and Queen St. West in the downtown core, The Beach, Leslieville, Riverdale and East Danforth to the east, Lawrence Park, Forest Hill, Moore Park, Rosedale and Yonge and Eglinton to the north and in the west end, The Junction, Parkdale, High Park, Bloor West Village, Davenport and Liberty Village.

Some of our more notable installations have been in the homes of Eric Lindros, Brett Lindros, Shane Baghai, Brian Gluckstein, Indian Motorcycle Rock Cafe, Darcy Tucker, The Reichmann Family, Geddy Lee and Margo Timmins. We have also enjoyed working with the clients of our loyal designers, J. Gibson Design (who calls us his best kept secret!), John McAuley Interiors, Tara Finegold Interiors, Dean Cadman Interiors, Yorkville Interiors, Aileens Interiors and many more of Toronto’s top designers.

Fun Fact: Fort York is a historic site of military fortifications and related buildings on the west side of downtown Toronto. Fort York National Historic Site (NHS) houses Canada's largest collection of original War of 1812 period buildings.
